La orquesta de Neno González, llena un capítulo glorioso en la historia de las charangas habaneras, desde el lejano danzón hasta el glorioso Cha Cha Chá. Aún en contra de opiniones muy respetadas como pudo ser la de Antonio Arcaño, Neno tuvo un convencimiento absoluto en este nuevo ritmo desde la primera vez que lo escuchó: “esto si que es algo verdaderamente nuevo”. Y quedó demostrado con el hecho de la gran seducción de multitudes de este ritmo inventado por Enrique Jorrín.
Nos encontramos ante la segunda producción de la nueva “etapa” de la Orquesta de Neno González. En el año 2001, cuatro de los principales componentes de la Orquesta de Neno González, “Mazacote”, “El Ruso”, Barbarito López y Pikín, empezaron a tratar de reorganizar la Orquesta lanzando un álbum con la intención de rendir tributo al gran maestro. Naturalmente, la aceptación popular de este tributo rebasó las expectativas de todos aquellos que formaron parte de la producción. Ahora, cinco años más tarde, dirigida por Pikín y con un repertorio al estilo de la charanga tradicional que la ha mantenido viva durante más de 50 años, cuatro de los pilares de la mítica Orquesta de Neno González, quieren rendir tributo a su maestro y amigo.
Se hace difícil en ésta producción destacar algunos temas, pero  nos encontramos con “Que Sazón”, “Tiene Sabrosura”, “De Congo a Carabalí”, “El  látigo” o “Arrímate pa´acá” que son extremadamente bailables y charangueros.

Neno Gonzalez’s Orchestra has filled a glorious chapter in the history of the charangas habaneras, from the distant danzón to the glorious Cha Cha Chá. Still against very respected opinions like the one of Antonio Arcaño, Neno had an absolute conviction in this new rhythm from the very first time he listened to it: “this is really something new”. And it is demonstrated with the fact of the great seduction of multitudes of the rhythm created by Enrique Jorrín.
Second production of that “new stage” of Orquesta Neno Gonzalez. On 2001 four of the main member of the original Orchestra Neno Gonzalez (“Mazacote”, “El Ruso”, Barbarito López and Pikín) began to try to reorganize the Orchestra releasing an album as tribute to the great master Neno Gonzalez. Obviously, the acceptance of that tribute exceeded the expectations of all those people that were part in the production. Now, five years later, conducted by Pikín and a repertoire at the traditional charanga style that keep it alive for more than 50 years, four of the pillars of the Orchestra Neno Gonzalez want to render tribute again to their “maestro” and friend.
It’s hard within this production to remark some of the titles, but we’re finding with some of them extremely danceable and “charangueros” as “Qué Sazón”, “Tiene Sabrosura”, “De Congo A Carabalí”, “El Látigo” or “Arrímate P’Acá”.
