Nacidos como escisión primero de Dan Den, y posteriormente separados de Havana City, esta nueva formación denominada Havana Power Band, conserva la esencia musical de sus principios, entre la salsa y la timba cubana. Liderada por Michel Calvo y Raúl Cabrera aportan al panorama musical cubano del momento, matices que gustarán tanto al bailador como al buen aficionado salsero.
Basado en la calidad de sus arreglos, con una afinadísima voz, a lo que se suma una fuerza fuera de lo común en la percusión (Yoyi). Este repertorio sitúa la orquesta en la plataforma del éxito. Los temas interpretados al más puro estilo cubano son de lo más variable y podríamos recomendar “Qué nos pasó”, “La besé”, “Mala compañía”, “Eleguá”, “Me acuerdo de ti”, “Celosa” para su disfrute.
En definitiva, se trata de una orquesta con gran proyección y futuro, siendo esta primera entrega merecedora de todos los éxitos.

Born as a split from the old Dan Den, and later separated from Havana City, this new band denominated “Havana Power Band”, preserves the musical essence of  its first steps into the music world passing by the Salsa to the Cuban Timbale.  Led by Michel Calvo and Raúl Cabrera, they bring to the current Cuban music environment special shades that will be please as much as the dancers as to the fans of Salsa music.
Based in the quality of its musical arranges, with an extremely sharpened voice  to  which is also added a “no common strength” on the percussion (Yoyi). This repertoire sets up the orchestra in the platform of success. The songs interpreted as the most purest Cuban style are highly variable and we  recommend to listen: “Qué nos pasó”, “La besé”, “Mala compañía”, “Eleguá”, “Me acuerdo de ti”, “Celosa”.  This is definitely  an Orchestra with such a big projection and brilliant future, this first release deserves a full success.
