A new half-caste Cuban Samurai appears in the Havana, with a juvenile Caribbean wave. This singer is been called Bimbo G, whose real name is Juan Carlos Perez, from Almendares in the Cuban capita city.
Bimbo G was born on May 18, 1976, is full of youth without the typical anxiety that characterizes the young people. Bimbo is humble, with moderate ambition, which leads without outrage his artistic carriage. Bimbo has played the piano, orchestrated and musically conducted different bands, although now he walks by his own, though his expectations are moderate, has concise and very clear ideas, one of them is that he refuses to have directors who always somehow receives the fruits of a genius as own attributes … ” Who plays alone, pays alone” –says the artist -. Without offends intentions Bimbo G prefers to carry on his own back the responsibility of his success or his defeat, a wise attitude if we consider that he is still a youngest man with the whole wide way in front of him.
He is an artist with a sharp background, his voice and juvenile presence makes of him a lived legend, nevertheless he lacks the self-sufficiency of the contemporary artists, which in a very vertiginous way overturns him principally on the execution of his art, secondarily to consider the collection of the fruits of his plough, we have a genius in front of us, a rash arguer who defends his conceptual behaviour saying:
“ I Want to do music with the sound of the Reggae and the Salsa, at the Cuban way, though in the future I will enter the Cuban roots, with which I consider myself to be a debtor ”.
Juan Carlos does not have a musical consolidated heritage, regrettably one of these rare cases in which a Cuban family has a small musical inflow between its components, nevertheless destiny was written for this “genius – child” that early manifested inclination and a strong endowment towards the music, was his mother who was receiving those vibrations and discovered his talent, from that moment begins a sharp relation between the “ tutor-mother” who guided and orientated him on the right way; and the child with premeditated future, and was choose by the beings that moved the threads and granted him the power to translate and to learn the unique language that has the necessary consonants to join to the human beings in a language: the music.
We can remind when in the antiquity the jongleurs and the poets were big possessors of the truth, which by means of the spirit were inspired and sent the message that it was conquered lands and kings. Who has the gift of making music both between the antiques and our days must execute and make use of its hardware.
