Int\u00e9rprete, compositor y arreglista, Amaranto es el creador del ritmo Taco-Taco: una mezcla entre el Son y la Guaracha.<br>Su primera orquesta, formada por \u00e9l mismo en 1.954, la bautiz\u00f3 como Copacabana. Con \u00e9sta, recorri\u00f3 todos los salones, clubs y dem\u00e1s salas de fiesta, donde predominaba el turismo estadounidense. En 1.960, a ra\u00edz del cambio social que se produjo en Cuba, decidi\u00f3 cambiar el nombre de la orquesta por el de Amaranto y Su Banda Gigante. En esta etapa, realizaron una gira por todo el pa\u00eds, trabajaron principalmente en el Hotel Oasis de Varadero, donde tocaron junto a las m\u00e1s importantes orquestas del momento. En 1.961 su provincia natal le hace un homenaje e invitan a uno de los pilares de la m\u00fasica cubana, Benny Mor\u00e9.<br>Despu\u00e9s de varios a\u00f1os trabajando por todo el pa\u00eds y realizando giras internacionales, decide arraigarse en La Habana, cambiando de nuevo el nombre de la orquesta por Amaranto y su Orquesta.<br>Ahora en esta producci\u00f3n queda impregnado el inconfundible sello de Amaranto donde encontraremos algunas de sus composiciones m\u00e1s populares. De entre los temas que se incluyen en el \u00e1lbum destacamos \u201cPiensas Que Bailas Sabroso\u201d, \u201cDame Un Chance\u201d, \u201cA Mi Babalao\u201d, \u201cMi Verdadero Amor\u201d, \u201cMi Querida Och\u00fan\u201d y \u201cLa Cola y El Taco\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>From the singer, composer, arranger and creator of the Taco Taco rhythm, Amaranto presents his latest production with a track selection that clearly demonstrates the talent of this maestro. The Taco-Taco rhythm is a blend of Son and Guaracha.<br>He formed his own orchestra in 1954 called Copacabana. He toured all over Cuba with them, mainly in the American tourist centres. In 1960 with the social changes in Cuba , he decided to change the name of his orchestra to Amaranto y Su Banda Gigante. During this time he went on tour throughout Cuba mainly performing in the Hotel Oasis de Varadero, where he played alongside the most important orchestras of the era.
