Perteneci\u00f3 a agrupaciones como la Orquesta Copacabana, Quintana M\u00e9lody Boys y el Conjunto Arm\u00f3nico (con el que viaj\u00f3 a Nueva York, donde eran muy reclamados por su espect\u00e1culo cubano y donde pasar\u00eda a llamarse \u201cThe Atomic Singer\u201d). Otra \u00e9poca importante de su carrera fue el paso por el conjunto de Luis Sant\u00ed. M\u00e1s tarde sustituy\u00f3 a Felo Mart\u00ednez poniendo de moda aquel tema que todos ustedes recordaran \u201cque malo soy \/ soy una ara\u00f1a peluda\u201d y a partir de entonces se hizo llamar El Capit\u00e1n Ara\u00f1a. Pero como todo en la vida, nada es imperecedero, y el gran maestro fue relegado por artistas de la nueva \u00e9poca, pasando casi al olvido.<br>En el a\u00f1o 2.000, el productor Luis A. Dom\u00ednguez decide hacerle una prueba para realizar una producci\u00f3n, a pesar que no ten\u00eda mucha fe en este artista de aspecto indescriptible. Cuando escuch\u00f3 cantar a \u201cLa Ara\u00f1a\u201d, \u00e9ste qued\u00f3 sorprendido y decidi\u00f3 darla la oportunidad de grabar esa producci\u00f3n que realmente dej\u00f3 satisfecho tanto al cantante como al productor. Ahora, nos llega su segunda producci\u00f3n, en la que Max hace realidad su sue\u00f1o de grabar una producci\u00f3n pr\u00e1cticamente salsera, en la que pr\u00e1cticamente todos los temas son in\u00e9ditos no carecen de cierta iron\u00eda. Destacaremos algunos como \u201cLa Soledad\u201d, \u201cMi Cosita\u201d, \u201cTu y Yo Sabemos\u201d, \u201cYo No Tengo La Culpa\u201d, \u201cEn Casa De Lina\u201d, \u201cYo Soy El Son Cubano\u201d, \u201cLa Rumbantela\u201d,&#8230;<br><em><br>Now 72, Max was one of the most important musicians of his time. He belonged to groups such as Orquesta Copacabana, Quintana M\u00e9lody Boys and the Conjunto Arm\u00f3nico (with whom he travelled to New York, where they were very well received for their Cuban show and where they started to call him \u201cThe Atomic Singer\u201d). Another important period of his career was when he was part of the Luis Sant\u00ed group. Later, he substituted Felo Mart\u00ednez making tracks such as \u201cque malo soy \/ soy una ara\u00f1a peluda\u201d from then on, he bacame known El Capit\u00e1n Ara\u00f1a, (the Spider Captain). However, like everything in life, nothing lasts forever. He was almost forgotten when new artists started to appear on the scene.<br>In 2000, the producer Luis A. Dom\u00ednguez decided to meet him for a rehearsal, despite not having very much faith in the artist. However, when he heard the \u201cAra\u00f1a\u201d sing, he was totally surprised and decided to give him the opportunity to record. Here we have his second production, in which his dream of making a truly salsa production has come true.
