Pacho decide formar su propia orquesta y pasa a sustituirlo Manolo Couto, por un periodo de cuatro a\u00f1os, hasta que en 1.971 es Roberto Correa, trompetista, arreglista y compositor, quien toma la direcci\u00f3n, hasta que el pasado a\u00f1o, desgraciadamente falleci\u00f3.<br>Su actual formaci\u00f3n es dirigida por el maestro Roimelys Fuentes, bajista y excelente m\u00fasico que ha dado un nuevo giro a Los Bocucos, sin dejar atr\u00e1s la rica herencia musical de sus antecesores, pero adaptando a nuestros tiempos su sonoridad. Le acompa\u00f1an grandes maestros de la m\u00fasica como el prestigioso guitarrista Elmer Ferreira, que tambi\u00e9n a aportado algunos arreglos y varias composiciones propias; Pedro I. Crespo, unos de los fundadores de la orquesta, puso la primera trompeta; las voces van a cargo de Carlos Amores y Juan Carlos Mir\u00f3, que se encargan de interpretar todo el repertorio.<br>Cultivadores de la m\u00fasica popular bailable, estos soneros imprimen un sello muy personal en todos sus temas, sobretodo en el aspecto r\u00edtmico. En su \u00faltimo trabajo encontramos temas tan populares como el que da titulo gen\u00e9rico al \u00e1lbum \u201cEl Platanal de Bartolo\u201d, \u201cSibanic\u00fa\u201d, \u201cCaballo, soo\u201d, \u201cNo Dejes Camino Por Vereda\u201d o \u201cViene de la Tierra Caliente\u201d, entre otros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Formed 43 years ago in Santiago de Cuba, LOS BOCUCOS were directed by Pacho Alonso for 20 years before deciding to form his own orchestra leaving Manolo Couto to substitute for 4 years. Then, in 1971, Roberto Correa, trumpet player, arranger, and songwriter took over until last year when he unfortunately passed away.<br>The BOCUCOS are currently led by the maestro Roimelys Fuentes, bass player and excellent musician who has given a new flavour to the BOCUCOS\u2019 sound without threatening the rich heritage of their predecessors. Some prestigious musicians have participated in the recording of this album such as the guitarist Elmer Ferreira, who has arranged part of the album and wrote some songs.<br>These Son artists give their own special touch to all the tracks on the album, especially with the rhythm.
